Vacation with young children in Hong Kong
Our Big Family at Nan Lian Gardens, Hong Kong
It's been a year and three weeks since we first launched our big family's little travel blog, and the growth in readership has been pretty surprising. We've created 66 posts so far, with, I'm guessing, at least 50,000 words of content. In the 6 months since we reached 5,000 page views, we've had another 5,000 views, for an average of 833 per month recently.  The one thing I would ask you to do is...

...to forward or share a link to our blog. We don't promote this site among people we know offline, so, the only way this website ever gets discovered is through organic searches, and shared links. We'll sometimes have 60 or even 250 visits in a single day, all from one country - perhaps Brasil, or China. Other days we might go 24 hours without a single visitor. The next day, we'll have multiple visits from over a dozen countries in one day.

Most of our traffic is referred from:
  1. Google
  2. And, tied for a distant second: other blogs, social media, plus Baidu (which is the second largest search engine in the world, and has dominance in China).

We also want to invite you to subscribe for free updates - meaning, you'll get notified via email any time we post new content. You can subscribe on any page of this site, using the subscribe link over there on the border.

Who Are Our Readers?
So far, we've had readers and visitors from over seven dozen countries!  That's amazing, to me. Welcome all, and thank you for reading, and for sharing links to our site! Counting from our first post through the present, most often our visitors have been from:

45% United States

5% each: Russia and Israel

4% each:  United Arab Emirates, France, China

3% each:  Canada, Indonesia, Germany

24% All other countries combined

My geography knowledge isn't up to date enough to sort out which of those are independent countries and which of those aren't exactly what you might call sovereign, but these are the 89 "countries" identified by Google's web services for me, so I'll go with that. Based on the notion that there are approximately 195 countries in the world as of this writing, this list represents over 45% of all the countries on the planet!
